We offer the Following Programs and Services:

Leadership/Development &Workforce Program

This program is a job assistance and training program that promotes self-substantial, enhance leadership, and works to connect individuals who endures financial hardship. We work to provide access to training courses, career education, and information to acquire job skills. We are expanding our program to collaborate with employers to host job fairs in the community as a link to bring employers and recruiters to the surrounding areas for potential job candidates to apply for jobs on the spot. This program is also created to enhance leadership, promote entrepreneurship, and raise professionals in the work place. Through our outreach program, we visit the homeless shelter to provide career education and job information. We also work with individuals and families through our case management program to provide one-on on- sessions to assist with job search and free services to create job resumes. 

Diaper Bank:

Through our partnership with MidSouth Food Bank's Bare Needs Program, we are giving away free diapers and wipes to mothers and children to keep them clean, dry, and healthy. This program is designed to assist the needs for the well-being of women, children, and families.

Academic Success

  • School Supply Giveaway:

We will host an annually Motives to Success Back- to-School Supply Giveaway.  We provide free school supplies, services for K-12, hot meals, shoes, and clothes for the upcoming school year. It is our goal to ensure that all children have equal opportunities to start the beginning of the school year and successfully finish strong. We are also working to expand our academic program during our school supply event to bring awareness to and special education rights.

 

  • Parent Education:

 This program is designed to provide support, resources, and educate parents of children with special needs and disabilities. Our key main focus is to encourage parents to become involved in their special needs’ child education to gain positive effects to improve the child’s learning. We work to listen to concerns that are uncomfortable for the parent, provide knowledge, and connections to advocates to address the concerns of the parents and improve communication skills with school administration. We are designed to understand special education, parents, children’s rights, and to bring awareness of IEP rights that’s needed for the special need child’s academic protection. This educational program is designed to break barriers in special education, and parents will gain knowledge on effective skills to get positive solutions for challenges that are faced in special education. We will host events throughout the year to bring awareness to parental rights in special education.

     

    • Life Skills:

    The life skills program is a mentorship program that will provide seniors that are preparing for college life skills education related to college and life after college information. We will work with youth one on one and in small groups to accomplish the goals of being a successful college student. In this program, high school students will be taught about becoming an adult and making good decisions. Life skills in the world of education is a way of learning and development that is imparted into teens or young adults. This program is to prepare youth for college, careers, entrepreneurship, and development. Life skills is also developed to provide youth with the necessary tools for development that is related to independent thinking, social emotional, critical thinking, and commununication. We want to ensure that students learn how to build healthy relationships, understand how to empathize with others, and manage their lives using the method of responsibility in a healthy manner.

    Housing/Homeless Intervention Program

    Staff will work to provide unhoused individuals and families with strategies and promote stability to rebuilding their lives. We are a connection that help individuals get access to temporary housing, transitional housing, safe, and affordable housing. This program is designed to provide emergency foods and cooked meals to feed the homeless population.

    Single Mother's Program

    This program is designed to help single mothers gain independence and a better lifestyle. It can become a hardship for a mother to work, get an education, provide at home care, and do it alone. We will work to connect families to services such as food, clothing, diapers, household items, financial assistance, health coverage, childcare, housing assistance, and education. Resources and referrals to other services will be provided.

    Crisis Program

    This program is a response to offer support and presence to help victims to a road of recovery following an emergency. We will work with other organizations to target the needs of the victims and assist those who are affected by natural disasters with food, cleaning supplies, distribute hygiene kits and help victims get to shelter.

     

    Food Program

    We work to serve individuals, children, and families in areas of high need to lessen hunger. We have a mobile food pantry where we provided families with free food boxes quarterly. We also target food insecurity and cost to provide cooked meals to feed the homeless population. Through our partnerships, we go out on Wednesdays to assist with serving cooked foods at the homeless shelter for victims of homelessness and for those who struggles with hard ship to provide food.
