My Story...

Hello! My name is Brittany Brownlee and a resident of Pontotoc, MS. I am a happily married woman, and we both have 4 handsome sons together. I have always had a vision and passion to serve, educate, and assist my community. In 2011, I accepted my purpose from God which became my vision and dream to help someone, be a light in darkness, save a life, & bring change to their situation. I followed God's path as he led me to pursue my education in social work which inspired me to establish my Outreach Organization. During my internship, I experienced working with groups, families, children, & individuals through evaluating their needs and coming up with solutions for their circumstances. I had great opportunities working within the community, helping with projects, & educating families on community resources that was available to help them maintain daily life. This experience led me to form the Visions Outreach and Family Center. It is my calling to change the lives of the children and their families here in Northeast Mississippi.

I know How It Feels To Need Help and Not Have the Right Resources...

This Outreach Center was inspired by my own personal experience with my Autistic son. I felt challenged and helpless as a mother. I was lost because I did not have the answers for our situation. I sought help from every source I could. I would speak to social workers, doctors, and more, only to discover, I still lacked resources to help my child and I. Later on in life, my parents started declining in their health. Seems like both of them had more problems than solutions. When my mother stopped walking, needed assistance with daily living, and basic needs, I knew that something needed to be done so we all could get the assistance we needed to be more help to our family.

I Made A Decision

I made up in my mind that I would go to school, enroll in a specialized social work program, learn how to research, and learn about the available resources to help families in need. I put my skills and knowledge to practice,  and I became an advocate for my own child and my mother. My story and experience regarding my son was not just for us. Our story is for all children and families who are experiencing the same challenges. I am called to advocate, assist with basic needs, and educate for families who also feel helpless without answers. My desire is to give them the same hope I found. I was inspired to become the Founder of Vision's Outreach & Family Center to provide services that would meet the need of people and provide programs that that address barriers.
